Past Ocean Oxygenation (PO2)

Past Ocean Oxygenation (PO2)

I am a member of the steering committee in the PAGES MioPlioVAR related MioOcean effort where we compile and evaluate all existing  temperature records for the Miocene to reconcile the mismatches between data and climate models.

The results will be published across several publications:

 Output 1 (data base, ESSD)

Output 2 (data synthesis, tbd)

interactive website (will be public soon)

Stay tuned for further updates!

Past Ocean Oxygenation (PO2)

I am a member of the steering committee and  currently responsible for the data stewardship scholarship in the PAGES PO2 working group.

Our aim is to collect and synthesise all available dissolved oxygen records for the paleo oceans.

Check out our first community paper

on low O2 proxies.

Past and upcoming workshops to bring the PO2 community together:

First workshop on glacial/interglacial variability.

Second workshop on notable hypoxic events of the geologic past (will take place in December 25 in Raleigh NC, abstract submission is now open!)

Early Miocene Working Group

I am a member of the ECR-led working group investigating the Early Miocene climatic, environmental and biotic events. We will apply our previously published "Micropaleoecology Framework" approach.

Stay tuned for further updates!
